Just who is StupidFox? With his carefree demeanor, silly antics and, more often than not, tongue hanging out, the average reader would view StupidFox, as the name implies, as stupid. However, StupidFox is not stupid. StupidFox's cute actions are a ploy and forces the reader falls into his devious trap of disillusion with each passing comic. In fact, it is obvious that StupidFox is a devout believer in Machiavelli. For those unfamiliar with Machiavelli, it is the belief that the "ends justify the means". Why is he Machiavellian? StupidFox has countless times has harmed or taken advantage of both  his "friends" and others all in the name of self gain and ego. Additionally, StupidFox's ego is immeasurable, creating a conflagration of motive for his self gain.

Based on the comic, StupidFox has two friends: a Raccoon and a Rabbit. However, at every turn, StupidFox attempts to take advantage or scare of his comrades (and succeeds). The Raccoon and the Rabbit could hardly be called his friends, based on StupidFox's actions. From even the very first comic of StupidFox, we see the titular Fox's manipulative side. As his friend, the Raccoon, tries to have his daily meal of garbage, StupidFox jumps out at the last minute and gives Raccoon both the scare of his life and the loss of a meal. Why? So StupidFox could eat the feast of garbage all by himself. Any true friend would share such a feast but StupidFox actively chooses to reject companionship for his own gain. Furthermore, in comic 13, StupidFox uses Raccoon to acquire an apple to eat, taunting Raccoon who cannot hold up StupidFox due to being malnourished  because of StupidFox's gluttony. In comic 21a, StupidFox uses Rabbit to scare Raccoon into thinking StupidFox is an alien. While StupidFox coyly questions why Raccoon is scared, it is evident he knows and planned for Rabbit to be on his head. Firstly, the weight of the rabbit makes it obvious StupidFox knows. Additionally, careful manipulations of weight are required to keep a rabbit on the back of the fox. Lastly, in comic 34a, StupidFox terrifies Raccoon by hiding and jumping out of the fall leaves. Raccoon was trying to enjoy the fall, but StupidFox's desire for his own amusement controls even other people's joy.

While StupidFox clearly molds his friends, his thoughts and dreams show the extent of his ego. Flight is his manifestation of his ego; as StupidFox is flying, so is his ego. As seen in comic 6, StupidFox thinks he has the gall to fly like a bird.  In comic 11, Stupid Fox thinks that his tail would make a suitable balloon. He believes that his tail would provide happiness and joy to children, like regular balloons do. Additionally, the balloon is in the air, further strengthening that his ego is associated with flight. Lastly, in comic 32, StupidFox dreams that he has wings and is flying in the air.

From both his maltreatment of his friends and his inflated ego, the reader knows that StupidFox is not stupid. StupidFox meticulously calculates everything about how he can gain substance or amusement from his friends. Additionally, s shown from the images of flight, StupidFox's ego is enormous. This ego, perhaps, is the reason why he believes he can act stupid to gain things. So, I again repeat. StupidFox is not stupid. Machiavelli would be proud.
For the StupidFox contest. Oh god this bastard is a mean one...
